I am still in the states, but I just woke up from a dream that I think shows how I feel about my up coming trip pretty well and I need to share it with you all.
In the dream, I am sitting in a forest in the middle of nowhere during the night. I am dressed warmly and can see the fog of my breath over the light of my flashlight which I am using to read a book. I feel alone. This continues for some time, when I see another flashlight approaching me from a trail down the forest hill. This causes me to worry. I stand up, turn off my flashlight and try and hide in the surrounding shrubbery, but it is too late. The people approaching can see me.
The first person I see is a middle-aged woman dressed in warm clothing of a forgotten age that probably never happened. Following her is a very large Camel. Behind the camel is a man dressed in a similar fashion to match the woman. I shout to them that I don't want to hurt them, and that I want to be left alone. I move to the side of the forest path, and the man, woman, and camel walk further up the forest path and into the darkness.
It is not long after the mysterious camel couple leaves that a powerful light in the forest turns on and serves as a great beacon. I turn to the light, and see that it is a shoppe selling donuts, and I remember a really good looking maple frosting donut being sold. I walk towards the shoppe, and the entire forest turns from night into day. Once the sun is out, I can see that I am at an amusement park with a Old World theme, not much unlike Busch Gardens Williamsburg. And I get a strong feeling that this Theme Park is in Europe.
I enter the park, and begin to talk to strangers working the waterslides. One of them is helping small children onto the slides, while the other, a beautiful teen girl with crayon blue hair takes money from the other children. I shout to them, that I am an American away from home, and that I was scared in the forest and alone, but now I am surrounded by new friends, and I am about to go eat a a maple donut.
I woke up from this dream and I felt incredibly happy, and I got very excited about my trip. Hope you were able to visualize my dream, because it was all so vivid in my head.
